In this week’s issue of Mr Porter, the online menswear publication and retailer interviewed model turned designer Armando Cabral. Armando discusses his transition from runway to designer of his own eponymous footwear brand. We hear his inspiration for wanting to make shoes and he discusses his mission for wanting to make the perfect shoe. Matt Albiani captures the dapper Cabral in Cabral’s own shoes from his line.    Perhaps one of my favorite segments from Mr Porter, we are presented with another “Double Take”, this time focusing on velvet. The segment proves how versatile the soft cotton fabric is. Shown in multiple ways, whether it’s dressing up or down a velvet bomber jacket or a slim fit blazer, this segment proves that velvet slippers don’t only have to be worn to a cocktail party or on a red carpet.
